For the smooth and efficient running of the college a code of behaviour is required. This is not designed to restrict individual students unduly, but to form a culture and a climate in the college based on self-responsibility and care. The best rule is, “to have respect for oneself and for others”.
Newlands College provides a safe environment. It is expected that students will not bring anything to college that is harmful to themselves or to others. Students are also expected to respect themselves and each other.
Civil Defence is taken seriously at Newlands College. Regular evacuation drills are held and the school works closely with the Wellington Emergency Management Office to ensure our procedures are correct. Click here to view our Emergency Plan.
