Newlands College is a state, co-educational, uniformed school of approximately 950 students that caters for Year 9 to Year 13 students. The college has a safe, caring and supportive environment with a reputation for striving for excellence for all individuals.

We are very much aware that the educational landscape is rapidly changing and we constantly strive to meet these new demands. Our successful transition to all our learning being on-line is an example of this. As the world changes the demand for different types of learners has never been more evident. The days of content based, rote learned knowledge is inadequate to meet these changes.

Our recently developed vision, places students at the centre of their learning. We want our students to be able to find a variety of solutions to problems (learn creatively), be linked into different individuals and groups both locally and globally (be connected learners) and to be calculated risk takers (confident learners). These skills will enable our students to become life-long learners, prepared for the multiple challenges of an ever changing environment.
