The Awa
The braided awa begins at two river mouths, symbolising Ngāti Toa and Te Ātiawa, before intertwining and becoming Newlands itself.

Our students leave with outstanding academic results, having learnt the importance of hard work, integrity, respect for themselves and others, and the importance of contributing to their communities and the world around them. Whether in sport, the arts, through cultural leadership, or community service, we offer outstanding opportunities for learners to thrive and succeed.
