School Uniform

Newlands College is a uniform school. Wearing the uniform correctly is an important part of maintaining the school’s reputation and representing the college with pride in the community.

Uniform Requirements

Students must wear the correct Newlands College uniform at all times. 

  • Blazer (compulsory Years 11–13)
  • Light blue shirt or white blouse (sleeves optional)
  • Newlands College skirt
  • Plain charcoal wool-blend trousers or fitted navy trousers
  • Navy jersey or vest with crest
  • Tie (Newlands College style)
  • Plain black tights
  • School socks (skirt) or plain mid-blue socks (shorts)
  • Newlands College shorts 
  • Plain black leather lace-up school shoes only

  • Blazer (optional for Years 9 & 10) 
  • Ie Faitaga (school style)
  • School hat/cap 
  • Plain black rain jacket

Physical Education Uniform 

  • Newlands College PE shirt and shorts 
  • White socks 
  • Non-marking sports shoes 
  • School tracksuit, sweatshirt, or warm up top may also be warn
  • School hat/cap recommended in summer
     

Personal Presentation 

  • No make-up
  • No nail polish 
  • Jewellery: worn watch only 
  • Earrings: one stud or sleeper per ear only
  • No other piercings
  • Hair, beards and moustaches must be clean, tidy and of a natural colour. No extreme styles as determined by the Principal.
