Donations

You are investing in your child’s future by making a voluntary donation to the College. We thank our families for their support, which enables us to provide critical services that support student wellbeing and learning. The following is a breakdown of the donation requested.

General Donation - $300 per student

School Donation to support Newlands College Students. Your donation in this way ensures we can provide a high-quality, inclusive environment for every student. Here is how your contribution directly enhances our school community:

Student Health Wellbeing

  • School Nurse: We provide 25 hours a week for all students, ensuring their health and wellbeing are prioritised during the school day.
  • Counselling: Your donation ensures we have a variety of counselling services within school.

Learning

  • Additional teacher aides within the English language area and across the school  to provide vital in-class assistance.
  • Classroom and Library Resources: The additional purchase of essential consumable items that keep our classrooms and library functioning.

Sport, Music and Cultural Activities

  • Sporting Success: Covering costs for equipment, uniforms, specialised staffing, and additional facilities.
  • Pasifika and Kaupapa Māori activities both in and out of school.
  • Music Program: support and resources.

Equity and Hardship Support

We believe no student should miss out. Your donations help provide a safety net through:

  • Support for extracurricular fees and uniform costs.
  • Food for students when required.

Technology Donation - $100 per family

  • Technical support for the school and the students from a very experienced technician and IT team.
  • Chromebook supply for students who cannot afford a device or need a device for the day.

Project Development - $100 per family

There are times when the Ministry of Education funding cannot match the new developments of the school. This fund allows us to make decisions that will benefit generations of students to come when we make property and building decisions. In recent times, your donations have paid for the turf next to the gym, specialist furniture and contributed to the new library.

These donations are tax-deductible, and every donation makes a difference.
