Film Festival (NOSCARS)
One of the College's most anticipated annual cultural events, the NOSCARS is a celebration of student filmmaking with all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood premier. Students taking Media Studies compete for selection in the NOSCARS, where their films are judged by a panel of film experts and are projected onto the big screen at Wellington's most prestigious theatre, The Embassy, in front of a sell out crowd. Providing a unique opportunity to enjoy home-grown films on the biggest screen in the city followed by an Oscars style awards ceremony, The NOSCARS is a special highlight on the Newlands College calendar.
